Maria Pilar Llusa Lindberg

Maria Pilar Llusa Lindberg is of counsel based in  Austin, TX .  Maria Pilar focuses her practice on U.S. and global business immigration law with extensive experience advising clients technology, energy and gas as well as employers based in Scandinavia, South America and Spain. Maria Pilar leverages her experience in global immigration to work with Maggio Kattar’s existing global immigration team and our broad network of immigration attorneys around the world.

Ms. Llusa was born in Madrid, Spain and graduated from Law School both in Spain and from American University School of Law in Washington, DC. Ms. Llusa also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Jones School of Management (MBA Program) at Rice University. She has taught courses in Latin America/Spain business negotiations and for Chamber of Commerce of Madrid: EU Certificate of Business.

She has previously worked in-house as an international transactional lawyer for a major international energy company in Houston and in Sweden and Norway as an international energy lawyer .

Currently, Ms. Llusa is the Director of the Spain-Texas Chamber of Commerce in Houston; and has been actively involved in the Norwegian/Scandinavian energy community in Houston since 1995. She is member of the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce.
