Prepare now for the H-1B Cap Lottery FY 2025 Registration
The registration period for the H-1B Cap Lottery FY 2025 will run from March 6, 2024, to March 22, 2024. During this timeframe, only employers or their representatives can register potential H-1B beneficiaries and submit the registration fee of $10 via a myUSCIS account. Only registrations that are selected will qualify for filing an H-1B cap-subject petition for the Fiscal Year 2025 H-1B numerical allocations.
Employers are required to set up their own myUSCIS accounts online, enabling Maggio Kattar to register their H-1B cap beneficiaries.
To enhance security and prevent fraud, USCIS has introduced several improvements to these accounts for FY 2025. This document provides instructions for employers creating new organizational accounts and those with existing myUSCIS accounts, aligning with USCIS’ new beneficiary-centric approach.
MyUSCIS Organizational Accounts: What employers need to know before they create or update accounts for the H-1B Cap Lottery FY 2025.
Employers will need to consider a number of factors before creating, or updating, their myUSCIS organizational accounts. Employers are encouraged to review USCIS instructions and helpful demonstrations regarding their organizational accounts.
- How will I set up my Employer Organization in the myUSCIS account? Employers can set up one or more “Company Groups” within their account structure. Creating more than one “Company Group” can allow employers to allow subsidiaries or divisions to collaborate separately within their myUSCIS space without access to other subsidiaries or divisions. However members and administrators may only be in one group at a time. Therefore, Company Groups cannot collaborate with each other. It is important to remember that Company Groups cannot be deleted.
- Who will the company administrators be for the Organizational Account? Administrators set up company groups, sign forms to be submitted to USCIS, respond to RFEs, invite attorneys or members to their company group, as well as other functions. It is advisable for employers to select more than one administrator to avoid the hassle of obtaining access if the designated administrator is unavailable.
- Who will be invited as a member to the Organizational Account? Members help prepare H-1B registrations, Form I-129 and I-907 and view case information and statuses
- Which attorneys will be invited to join as legal representatives? You may invite an unlimited number of attorneys to your organizational account, however, the legal representative will not be able to edit, or even view, forms you, or another legal representative, have started.
