USCIS Completes Initial Selection for FY 2027 H-1B Cap

USCIS has confirmed that it has completed the initial selection process for the FY 2027 H-1B cap, including the advanced degree exemption (master’s cap). Selection notifications have been issued to employers and their representatives through their myUSCIS accounts.

Filing for H-1B cap-subject petitions may begin as early as April 1 ,2026.

USCIS has not indicated whether additional selection rounds will occur. As in prior years, this will depend on overall filing volume.
