$750 Expedited B-1/B-2

U.S. Consulates in Mexico Become First to Offer $750 Expedited B-1/B-2 Visa Interview Program

State Department Identifies First Consulates Offering $750 Expedited Visa Interview Option

$750 Expedited B-1/B-2 Visa Interviews Now Available at U.S. Consulates in Mexico

The U.S. Department of State has announced the first locations participating in its new $750 expedited B-1/B-2 visa interview pilot program. As of July 21, 2026, the option is available at all U.S. Consulates in Mexico.

The paid service is intended for applicants who have already scheduled a routine B-1/B-2 visa interview but would like an earlier appointment. For an additional $750 fee, participating posts will offer an interview within 10 business days, subject to availability.

The pilot does not guarantee visa issuance or faster visa processing after the interview. It also does not replace the existing no-cost expedited appointment process for applicants who qualify based on emergency or humanitarian circumstances.

The pilot is currently limited to U.S. Consulates in Mexico, although the Department of State has indicated that additional embassies and consulates may be added before the program concludes on December 31, 2026.

Employers with employees or business visitors who frequently apply for B-1/B-2 visas in Mexico may find this new option helpful when travel timelines are compressed. We will continue to monitor the pilot and provide updates as additional locations are announced.
