Important Reminders
(information repeated from graphic)
Below are some additional factors that can impact your petition. Should you have any questions, it is important that you contact us.
Dependent Family Members
Notify us immediately
If you have any dependent family members (spouse and/or non-U.S. citizen children under 21 years of age) for whom you will also require assistance, you must notify us immediately. If applications for your dependent family members are not properly filed on a timely basis with USCIS, your dependent family members can face potentially severe consequences with respect to their ability to remain in the U.S. and/or return to the U.S. in the future. Should you require our assistance with such application, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot proceed without your explicit authorization.
Travel (you and/or your dependents)
Notify us of any plans
If you (or any of your dependents included in your petition) plan to travel prior to October 1, you must notify us inmmediately as this may impact your filing.
Dual Representation
We represent you and your employer
Maggio Kattar represents you and your employer in most employment-based petitions as both you and your employer benefit from the petition. Any time a lawyer represents two clients in the same matter, there is the potential for a conflict of interest. When both of our clients have consistent interests, there is not a conflict of interest. However, because we also represent both you and your employer, we have a duty to each party to disclose information that is material and relevant to this particular matter to both parties.
