Trump Administration Considers Additional Restriction On Foreign Nationals Entering The U.S., As The National Economy Begins To Recover

As mentioned in our recent article , we anticipate that the Trump administration will make an announcement in the coming days regarding additional restrictions on foreign nationals entering the U.S. for work.  At this time, it is unclear the extent of these restrictions and whether there will be exceptions that allow some workers to continue traveling to the U.S. for work.  Any additional restrictions could pit U.S. businesses against the Trump Administration, as they reopen for business,  especially for the technology sector where the unemployment rate continues to be under 3% nationally.  As additional information becomes available, we will publish additional alerts.

Given the potential for additional travel restrictions based on the new Proclamation, it may be advisable for employers to return any employees who hold valid visas to the U.S. should they be needed in the U.S. in the near term.
