USCIS RESUMES PREMIUM PROCESSING FOR ALL H-1B CAP-SUBJECT PETITIONS
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will resume accepting premium processing requests for remaining FY 2020 H-1B cap-subject petitions effective June 10, 2019.
Due to high demand, USCIS announced on March 19, 2019 that it would suspend premium processing for all FY 2020 H-1B cap-subject petitions and, beginning May 20, 2019 would only begin premium processing for requests filed concurrently with a cap-subject H-1B petition requesting a change of status.
Now that premium processing has resumed for all other FY 2020 H-1B cap-subject petitions, employers may request an upgrade to premium processing for any H-1B cap-subject petition filed and pending a decision with USCIS. The USCIS filing fee for premium processing is currently $1,410, with which USCIS guarantees action on the petition within fifteen (15) days of the agency’s receipt of the request and fee.
Employers who wish to upgrade their petition(s) to premium processing should contact their Maggio Kattar attorney at their earliest opportunity.
