MK Senior Counsel Steve Pattison shares his Consular Practice Expertise
MK Senior Counsel Stephen (“Steve”) Pattison is sharing his unique expertise in consular processing and business immigration matters with the immigration law community over a series of events this winter.
During his twenty eight year career in the U.S. Foreign Service, he served in the consular sections around the world, including Beirut, Colombo, Bangkok, Bucharest, Brussels, and his last posting, Berlin, where he was Minister Counselor for Consular Affairs, the senior U.S. consular official in Germany. In Washington, Steve held positions with the Department of State that included the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and as country officer for Jamaica and the Bahamas in the Bureau of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, and as head of the Coordination Division in the Visa Office within the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Now,Steve’s expertise is one of Maggio Kattar’s “secret weapons” as we assist our clients in matters involving consular processing and other business or education related immigration needs.
This winter, Steve will be assisting the immigration law community by sharing some of his expertise at the following events:
- January 16: Steve will be a discussion leader for an AILA conference on Visa Interview Preparation
- January 23: Steve will be a panel member for ILW teleconference on Consular Processing for Experts
- February 27-28: Steve will be in Bangkok to present on the Ethics of Consular Practice
- March 12-14: Steve will present at the AILA Rome District Chapter on Comprehensive Immigration Reform
