Join us for a free webinar, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm Eastern
The new rule for F-1 STEM OPT Extension goes into effect MAY 10, 2016.
While the new rule includes some good news for employers by increasing the STEM OPT Extension period from 17 month to 24 months as well as other benefits, it also includes new obligations for employers that employers of F-1 students must prepare for now.
Join us on Wednesday, April 20 as Shareholder and Senior Attorney, Elizabeth Quinn and HR Operations Consultant, Theresa Nahajzer explain the employer obligations under the new rule to include:
- Commensurate wage obligations
- U.S. worker non-displacement
- Development of a Training Program and Curriculum
- DSO notification and reporting requirements
- Enforcement and DHS site visits
We will also discuss the process to transition eligible F-1 Students who are currently on the 17-month STEM OPT Extension to the new 24-month extension.
In the meantime, check out our new RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYERS.
