FY2019 Lottery Selection Complete

USCIS announced on April 12, 2018, that it  has completed entering the required information for the H-1B cap-subject petitions selected in this year’s (FY 2019) lottery.  USCIS received a total of 190,098 for FY 2019 as opposed to 199,000 peitions for FY 2018. For the 2017 cap, USCIS received a total of 236,000 H-1B petitions.  The 190,098 cap-subject petitions that USCIS received this year is still well above the 65,000 general-category cap and the 20,000 cap under the advanced degree exemption for H-1B visas.
