Melissa Frisk joined Maggio & Kattar, PC in 2004 as an associate attorney. She works on the Maggio & Kattar’s Litigation Team where she assists clients with complex removal, asylum, naturalization, adjustment of status, waivers of inadmissibility and federal litigation cases. She also has experience representing Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) self-petitioners to obtain lawful permanent residency. Melissa is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association where she serves on the Washington Area Chapter’s pro bono committee. She graduated cum laude from The American University Washington College of Law where she was a Public Interest/Public Service Scholar. Prior to her practice of law, Melissa served for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras. Melissa received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is fluent in Spanish.
